MACKENSEY

Mackensey is a wedding, portrait and body affirming boudoir photographer, whose focus as an artist is to capture authentic connections.  A true seeker at heart, she has always been inspired by nature and the human experience.

In 2005 Mackensey fell in love with photography when she traveled overseas for the first time. As a young woman from the Midwest, she was incredibly inspired by the diversity of culture she found herself immersed in. Each person she connected with drastically broadened her awareness with their unique perspectives, beliefs and customs. It was an experience she continues to carry with her on her journey as a professional photographer and she remains always open to the powerful impact that random ‘strangers’ can have on her life.

Since establishing her business in 2011, Mackensey has photographed over three hundred weddings and countless families and portraits. In order to ensure that her clients end up with not only gorgeous images but also an overall amazing experience she makes it her top priority to personally give her fullest heart and attention. She strives to create a space where her clients feel seen and valued. Because of this only a limited number of weddings are booked per year.

Her work has been featured in several popular blogs and magazines such as Monique Lhuillier Bride, Green Wedding Shoes, Junebug Weddings, 100 Layer Cake, Style Me Pretty, Black Sheep Bride, For Women Who Roar, Ruffled, Wedding Unveiled, Rock n’Roll Bride, Swooned, Smitten and more.

As a proud queer woman, Mackensey believes that every person’s unique presence and all flavors of love are beautiful and should shine through their photos.  To help her create the relaxed environment for these intimate moments, Mackensey finds it incredibly helpful to connect as much as possible before a portrait session or wedding. She is available for in person consultations, zoom and phone consultations.

When she’s not working, Mackensey enjoys spending her time with her daughter Ophelia, traveling, spending time in nature, dancing, singing, writing and attempting to learn the guitar. Although she loves visiting big cities, her biggest dream is to one day own a peaceful cabin in the woods.

Mackensey spends her time working between Savannah, GA and Los Angeles, CA, and is available for travel worldwide.
