Photography that witnesses you as you are where you are

There is something healing about being witnessed in the fullness of your humanity. It gives you a sense of connection and value. Many of us spend so much time trying to project the image we think the world wants, even to the people closest to us. To truly see ourselves is a gift.

Photography gives us something to hold onto, a talisman to remind us of who we are. You deserve photos that make you feel creative, affirmed, and seen. Photos that freeze the memory of a moment so you can travel back to that emotion any time.

An intentional photography experience

Here’s what you can expect when I’m your Savannah photographer:

  • Space to feel. Whether I’m photographing your wedding or Embodiment Session, I create room for you to breathe and be. In my experience, it’s the best way for you to connect with your love(s), yourself, and me.
  • Photos that feel like the moment. I’ll put essence over perfection to get to the soul of the moment as you remember it.
  • An expert guide. I have been photographing for over 14 years. I’ve learned a thing or two about the human and technical sides of this work. Not only can I put you at ease, but I really know my camera.

Think we might be kindred spirits?

Honest Words from Inspiring Humans

Intentional representation

You’ve probably noticed by now that I see the world in an unconventional way. That goes for wedding photography, too. Two things I really value are intentionality and representation.  The most potent weddings I’ve ever photographed - the ones that really stuck with me - are those that bring a community together through intentional ceremony and celebration. They might put more thought into their ritual than their decor (even if it is impeccably curated). Those weddings inspire me to create my most emotive images.

Everyone deserves those images. As a queer woman, I see how many people historically have been left out of the mainstream wedding industry. One of my goals as a photographer is to make all people feel respected, seen, and celebrated. If you share these values, we might just be each other’s people. I’d love to be your Savannah or L.A. wedding photographer.

GET TO KNOW ME

I’m more than a Savannah and L.A. wedding photographer. Here are a few things you should know about me.

next

Travel unlocked my love of connecting and photographing inspiring humans.

I went to Europe when I was young and came back so many photos. When I looked through them, I realized they were all portraits. Cue my mom asking me where the photos of the historic sites were. I knew I’d discovered something important about myself and the way art and humanity are intertwined.

This work is bigger than photography.

I’m also a trauma-informed intimacy coach and death doula-in-training. To me, it’s all connected to my desire to understand our shared humanity and help others along the way. I definitely draw on my knowledge and experiences from intimacy coaching to create spaces centered on choice and consent for my photography clients.

I seek a sense of presence in so many places.

Aside from photography, I love dancing, writing, and trying to learn guitar. I also spend time with my daughter and take long walks. As much as I love people, I hope to live in a peaceful cabin in the woods someday.

Let’s document your love with soulful images.
